The A.R. goal for each student is 4 books at their level each nine weeks. Students who meet their A.R. goal will get to go to
the A.R. extra recess. Student who meet the goal 2 out of the first 3 quarters will get a free A.R. t-shirt.
For each book a student reads and passes the A.R test(80%), they will move one hole on our class golf course. Students may move more holes for larger books like Harry Potter, but must check with the teacher first. If an A.R. test does not exist for a certain book, or if the student took and failed the A.R. test, an alternate written test is available. When a student finishes 9 holes they will receive a refreshing drink, and completing 18 holes will get them lunch in the clubhouse (classroom). Completing 18 holes will also qualify them for an end of the year pizza party.
